Wes receives a hug after speaking. After each talk they opened it up for questions and someone in the audience asked what Wes missed most since being paralyzed. He answered, "I miss hugging people." This lady was compelled to go hug Wes after the service.

Martin let six-year-old Aviyah drive the big van for the first time. She saw oncoming traffic coming in our direction on the dirt road and said, "They're coming in hot!",
Aviyah caught a ride with Wes after a dinner at the seminary school. Before going up or down the steep ramps she would cheerlead and say, "Come on, punch it pickles!"
